Kieth grew up in Rangely, Colorado and graduated from Rangely High School in 1975. He worked in the oil field as a roustabout, workover, completion, drilling rig operator and then rig tool pusher from June 1975 until September 1982. He then went back to school and graduated with a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1988.
He worked as a Petroleum Engineer Intern for Chevron in the Rangely Weber Sand Unit during the summer of 1987 and 1988; then full time from 1989 to 1994.
He then transferred to Chevron’s Oil Field Research Lab in La Habra, CA. from 1995 to 1998. After that he worked in multiple field’s surrounding Bakersfield California before finishing his career in Grand Junction, CO. working Skinner Ridge, Rangely and Wilson Creek Field’s.
Kieth retired from Chevron in August 2016 after more than 28 years of service enabling him to pursue other opportunities.
